Wow, what a newsy News Break – even more so than usual! Lovely to ‘hear’ you, Margot and thanks for keeping us informed.
Thank you, Marina Sofia 🙂 – And yes, lots going on just now in the world of crime fiction!
Thanks as always, Margot, and wow! I’m so impressed that you got through all those names for the Petrona Award! Now I know how to pronounce some of them at last! 😀
😆 I wouldn’t swear by my pronunciation, FictionFan! I did my best… Glad you enjoyed the newscast.
I don’t know how you pronounced the international author’s last name, but you pulled it off flawlessly. You get my thumbs up!
Typo! You know I meant authors’, right?
No worries – I knew what you meant 🙂
Thank you, Sue! You should see my outtakes on this one! Not sure I got all the names right, but I sure did my best.
They sounded good to me. 😀
Lovely job with those names Margot!
Thanks, Moira! Not sure I got them right, but I tried!
Wow thanks for this update. I really wanted to go to Geoffrey McGeachins Adelaide Writers Week but had to miss it because of sickness, but so happy to listen to it now. 🙂
Oh, I’m sorry that you weren’t able to get to that presentation, Becksa. Nasty timing getting sick just then! I felt very lucky to be able to listen to this podcast myself. 🙂
Margot: I think it is time for some outtakes. My sons love the outtakes at the end of movies.
Thanks for that idea, Bill. I’ll have to think about doing that at some point.
Thanks for this update, Margot. I found your accent delightful in announcing the Petrona Award shortlist! 🙂
Thank you, Carol 🙂 . i did my best with those names…
You sure do pack a lots into 2 and a half minutes. I still haven’t read the first McGeachin book, but soon I hope.
Thanks, Tracy. And I heartily recommend McGeachin’s work. I know what TBR lists are like, but I think his books are really fine.
Hey, thanks for the news update, Margot! You reminded me that I had a copy of “The Human Flies” by Hans Olav Lahlum. Put it on my tablet to read hopefully this year.
Glad you enjoyed the update, Keishon :-). And I hope you’ll like The Human Flies. If you get the chance to read it, I’ll look forward to your review.
Cheers for the update!
Glad you liked it, Col.
